Sand & Stone

Sand & Stone was created out of my Line Development class. My group and I were asked to create an adaptive clothing line made from textiles made from at least 50% cotton. We created a line from start to finish, creating the customer, drawing garments, creating cost sheets, and even creating a marketing plan. Kasidi Jordan and I led the team. We were awarded 2nd place in Cotton in the Classroom with this project.

Context: Kasidi came up with the namesake of the brand. We were focused on having a brand that evoked duality. Sand is fine but can turn into glass, stones can be rough, but they can also be gems. We wanted our customers to feel beautiful even though their limb deficiencies could be labeled as something different. We came up with a mood board and a list of words that explained our brand. Along with duality, one of the words that spoke to us was optionwear. We wanted to give the customer an option to wear the clothing the way she wanted to, so we made clothes with the ability to be worn differently depending on the limb deficiency.

My Role: For the project, as a logistics manager, I had my hand in everything really. I completed whatever was not done, which included cost sheets, line sheets, the marketing video, the layout of the final presentation, and designing the slides for the final deck, all while creating a schedule for group members to meet.
